LSA Data Center
The Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) Data Center is a cornerstone of the Luxembourg Space Agency. This latter, as the spearhead of the economic development of the space sector in Luxembourg, devised a complete strategy around different pillars and flagships. One of these flagships aims at facilitating the access to space generally and to space data in particular.
The objective is to accelerate the development of the downstream sector of value-added applications and services using these data, thus facilitating users uptake.
The LSA Data Center is the Luxembourg entry point to data products of the Copernicus Sentinel constellation.
Copernicus is the European Union Earth Observation programme aiming at providing accurate, timely and easily accessible information to improve the management of the environment, understand and mitigate the effects of climate change and ensure civil security. This information is provided on a full, free and open access basis.
Copernicus is headed by the European Commission, acting on behalf of the European Union, in partnership with the European Space Agency and EUMETSAT.
The LSA Data Center allows the users to search, discover and download the data. To this purpose all the data are referenced and indexed in a real time updated geo-catalogue. The catalogue allows the users to query the archive on the basis of specific criteria such as product type, orbit or cloud coverage and to select the needed products for the download. Two levels of services are offered for normal and premium users.
The LSA Data Center is particularly intended to provide a privileged access to Luxembourg users.
